A Fond Farewell
Vanna White delivered a heartfelt message to her “brother” Pat Sajak on the eve of his final episode of Wheel of Fortune. The pre-taped message aired during Thursday night’s show.
Reflecting on 41 Years
“I can’t believe that tomorrow is our last show together,” White, 67, said in the clip. “I don’t know how to put into words what these past 41 years have meant to me, but I’m going to try. Eight thousand episodes went by like that.”
Iconic Duo Since 1982
The pair started hosting America’s Game together in 1982, when the show first aired in syndication. Over the years, they have become one of television’s most iconic duos.
Cherished Memories
“As the years have gone by, we’ve grown up on television, but we’ve also shared so much more behind the scenes,” she reminisced. “What an incredible and unforgettable journey we’ve had. And I’ve enjoyed every minute of it with you.”
Emotional Tribute
“You’re like a brother to me, and I consider you a true lifelong friend, who I will always adore. I love you, Pat,” White added, holding back tears. After the segment ended, they shared a hug on the stage.
Looking Ahead
Although Sajak will be retiring, White will continue her role through at least the 2025-2026 season. “I will certainly miss Pat Sajak as the host, but I can’t wait to see what Ryan Seacrest brings to the show!”
