Former White House strategist Steve Bannon shared some interesting information about former President Donald Trump’s campaign and what he will face going into next year.
During a segment on his “War Room” podcast, Bannon predicted that the former president will see “nothing but a war” in the 2024 general election, where he predicted “political warfare” over the next several years.
“Get Prepared, we got a fight ahead of us,” Bannon said. “There’s still the primary, the RNC and the donors are gonna try and [block] Trump, so we gotta get through that. The general election and I don’t have to believe Biden will be the nominee, I think they’ll trade him out, but we’ve got nothing but a war in the general election. We’ve got six to eight years ahead of us of absolute political warfare.”
Bannon also tore into House Speaker Kevin McCarthy as well as House Republicans Jim Jordan of Ohio and James Comer of Kentucky over the idea of passing a spending bill that does not give the GOP any real wins.
“Answer the question. Why have you not done anything in the first nine months? You’ve been called out on this. And number one — all of these ideas you’re — you want a clean CR? A clean CR would basically mean that Nancy Pelosi has had another year, a bonus year, she did such a great job, a bonus year. You’re spitting in the face of this audience,” Bannon began.
“You lied when you cut the deal, on the debt deal. You lied to people. And you’re trying to put shiny toys — I’m going to add the terrific border — we’ve got enough laws. Yes, the border thing, it’s great. It’s gonna be more — but we have enough laws. It’s the execution and implementation of those laws, and they’re laughing in your face,” he added.
“You’re doing nothing. You’re doing nothing about the woke and weaponized. You’re doing nothing about the ceding of our sovereignty to these international organizations. Nothing is getting done. Nothing. It’s all performative. Including Comer and Jordan. You’re weak and sad. This is heartbreaking. And Kevin McCarthy lies. They came — that’s a bald-faced lie. This is tepidly what McCarthy does. You see how weak he is? You see that? Well, it’s not really impeachment, we’re just going to ask a few questions. Stand up and be a man. Own the room. Step in there,” Bannon concluded.

A recent Washington Post/ABC poll has sent Democrats and members of the mainstream media into panic mode.
In a hypothetical November 2024 matchup, Trump has 51% support, while Biden has 42% – a numerical increase of 3 points for Trump and a decrease of 2 points for Biden from an ABC/Post poll in February, both of which are statistically insignificant.
Biden’s job approval rating is 19 points lower than it should be, and his ratings for handling the economy and immigration are at career lows.
A record number of Americans believe his presidency has made them worse off, three-quarters believe he is too old for another term, and Donald Trump appears to be doing better in retrospect – all of which pose serious challenges for Biden in his reelection campaign.
In the most recent ABC News/Washington Post poll, 44% of Americans say they’ve gotten worse off financially under Biden’s presidency, the highest figure for any president in ABC/Post polls since 1986. Only 37% approve of his job performance, while 56% disapprove. 30% approve of Biden’s economic performance.
Biden’s approval rating for handling immigration at the US-Mexico border is even lower, at 23%. In terms of sentiment intensity, 20% strongly approve of his overall work, while 45% strongly disapprove.
And the 74% who believe he is too old for a second term has increased by 6 percentage points since May.
Trump, for one, has matured in retrospect.
When he reluctantly left office in January 2021, 38% approved of his performance as president, which is nearly identical to Biden’s rating now. Looking back, however, 48% approve of Trump’s performance while in office, matching his peak as president.
Almost as many people, 49%, now oppose him, down from 60% when he left the White House.
A comparison to Biden could be a factor.
Among the 56% of Americans who disapprove of Biden’s performance in office, 75% say they approve of Trump in retrospect.
